Over a Quarter or Irish LGB Employees Report Harassment at Work

A new report from Ireland shows that disturbing patterns of harassment of LGB people in the workplace continue.

30% of those surveyed said they had experienced harassment at work.
Over 10% said they had left thier job because of discrimination.

On the positive side, the report shows that employees who work in an organisation where they can be open about who they are demonstrate greater committment to their employer.

No such research has yet been carried out in New Zealand, but anecdotally it would seem the situation here is not that different.
